Launched in 1993 during Canada's 35th general election, the show focuses on Canadian politics, combining news parody, sketch comedy and satirical editorials. On The Move is a television series made by the BBC and first broadcast in 1975 and 1976 in 50 ten minute episodes. It is an educational show aimed at adults with literacy problems, and linked to a national campaign at the time. It was credited with removing some of the stigma attached to illiteracy.</p><p></p><p>The running narrative featured the characters of Alf, a removal man who had problems reading and writing, and his friend Bert.
