1. Fear
Fear is an American paranormal reality television series that originally aired from 2000 to 2002 on MTV. The program follows a group of five or more contestants being left at an allegedly haunted location and led them on a series of dares over two nights to explore and confirm whether or not the place is haunted. The show was created by Martin Kunert and Eric Manes. The pilot episode was Co-Executive Produced and directed by George Verschoor. The series aired the first two episodes in a pilot run, which received outstanding reviews and a full season was ordered. After eight more episodes, another season was ordered. The second season ended after 6 episodes aired. The series was not cancelled due to a lack of interest, but due to the high cost of producing each episode. A DVD, MTV's Inside Fear, was released on November 6, 2001.</p><p></p><p>Fear was named #6 on Entertainment Weekly's "15 Taboo-Breaking TV Moments."</p><p></p><p>The show brought several innovations to the reality show genre, including having contestants film their own experience as no video crew followed them into the 'haunted' locations, use of night vision cameras, and use of body mounted cameras to have contestants film their own close-ups.

2. Psychic Kids
Psychic Kids: Children of the Paranormal is a paranormal television series broadcast on the A&E television network. Hosted by Chip Coffey, an American psychic investigator, with Edy Nathan, Chris Fleming, and Kim Russo, the show brings together children who report having psychic abilities with adult psychic/mediums, with the stated purpose of "show them how to harness their abilities and, ultimately, them that they're not alone in this world". The series debuted in summer 2008 with a premiere episode entitled "Fear Management." Later episodes feature content in correlation with another A&E paranormal series Coffey has appeared on, Paranormal State, with Ryan Buell. The show has been renewed twice, with its second season premiering on December 15, 2009, and the third season premiering on October 17, 2010, both on A&E.</p><p></p><p>A&E aired an episode of Biographies called "Psychic Children" about children and young people with the same alleged abilities described in the show.</p><p></p><p>Psychic Kids has been criticized for exploiting children.

9. Ann and Harold
Ann and Harold is a very early BBC television programme, and ran for five episodes, all broadcast in 1938. It is known to be the world's first drama serial ever transmitted, and explained the trials of a couple named Ann and Harold respectively, and starred Ann Todd. Little else is known about this programme.</p><p></p><p>No material exists of the show today, as it was aired live before any means of recording programmes existed. In fact, it is unknown if even any photographs survive of this programme.

10. Dinner for Five
Dinner for Five is a television program in which actor/filmmaker Jon Favreau and a revolving guest list of celebrities eat, drink and talk about life on and off the set and swap stories about projects past and present. The program seats screen legends next to a variety of personalities from film, television, music and comedy, resulting in an unpredictable free-for-all. The program aired on the Independent Film Channel with Favreau the co-Executive Producer with Peter Billingsley.</p><p></p><p>The show format is a spontaneous, open forum for people in the entertainment community. The idea, originally conceived by Favreau, originated from a time when he went out to dinner with colleagues on a film location and exchanged filming anecdotes. Favreau said, "I thought it would be interesting to show people that side of the business". He did not want to present them in a "sensationalized way they're presented in the press, but as normal people". The format featured Favreau and four guests from the entertainment industry in a restaurant with no other diners. They ordered actual food from real menus and were served by authentic waiters. There were no cue cards or previous research on the participants that would have allowed him to orchestrate the conversation and the guests were allowed to talk about whatever they wanted. The show used five cameras with the operators using long lenses so that they could be at least ten feet away from the table and not intrude on the conversation or make the guests self-conscious. The conversations lasted until the film ran out. A 25-minutes episode would be edited from the two-hour dinner.

The Jeff Probst Show was an American syndicated talk show hosted by Survivor host Jeff Probst, who also serves as an executive producer. This was his first television talk foray, which is co-produced by Big Ticket Television, and distributed by CBS Television Distribution, which handles the distribution rights in the United States and Canada.
