2. Endurance

Endurance is an American reality television children's program, previously shown on the Discovery Kids cable network in the United States and also on networks in other countries. The show's format is somewhat similar to the CBS television series Survivor, though with a teenaged cast. Endurance contestants live in a remote location and participate in various mental and physical challenges, although Endurance contestants compete as pairs, and the outcome of the competitions determines which pair of players is eliminated.</p><p></p><p>In its six-year run between 2002–2008, each season began with a new slate of contestants, who were gradually eliminated as the season progressed until the remaining two teams competed to get all of the Endurance Pyramid pieces. The winning boy and girl received an all-expenses paid vacation package with their parents to an exotic location as the prize.</p><p></p><p>Production ended with the final episode of the sixth season, first aired on March 8, 2008. Reruns of Endurance continue to be televised in the U.S., on Hub Network, Discovery Kids's successor until July 22, 2013. Reruns on the Hub ended on October 14, 2011, until the show was brought back for reruns on April 2, 2012 but was once again cancelled. Spanish-dubbed reruns also air on weekends on Azteca America. Three seasons of Endurance were each nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in the category of "Outstanding Children's Series", however the show never won.

Two-A-Days is a show on the United States cable television channel MTV. The show chronicled the lives of teens at Hoover High School in Hoover, Alabama, a suburb of nearby Birmingham. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is an American reality television series providing home improvements for less fortunate families and community schools. The show is hosted by former model, carpenter and veteran television personality Ty Pennington.</p><p></p><p>Each episode features a family that has faced some sort of recent or ongoing hardship such as a natural disaster or a family member with a life-threatening illness, in need of new hope. This includes interior, exterior and landscaping, performed in seven days while the family is on vacation and documented in the episode. If the house is beyond repair, they replace it entirely. Many skilled and unskilled volunteers assist in the rapid construction of the house.</p><p></p><p>EM:HE is considered a spinoff of Extreme Makeover, an earlier series providing personal makeovers to selected individuals, which the Home Edition has now outlasted. This show displays extreme changes to help recreate someone's space. However, the format differs considerably; in the original Extreme Makeover, for instance, participants were not necessarily chosen based on any recent hardship, whereas the family's backstory is an important component of Home Edition. EM:HE also has similarities to other home renovation series such as Trading Spaces, on which Pennington was previously a key personality.
