7. On the Move
On The Move is a television series made by the BBC and first broadcast in 1975 and 1976 in 50 ten minute episodes. It is an educational show aimed at adults with literacy problems, and linked to a national campaign at the time. It was credited with removing some of the stigma attached to illiteracy.</p><p></p><p>The running narrative featured the characters of Alf, a removal man who had problems reading and writing, and his friend Bert. This narrative was interspersed with sketches and exercises featuring actors including Nigel Stock, Patricia Hayes and Norman Rossington. The show was written by Barry Took and the theme tune was sung by The Dooleys. It was composed by Alan Hawkshaw and R. Tempest.</p><p></p><p>The series had two BBC follow-ups: Your Move and Write Away with Took writing the first programme and presenting the latter.

Q... was a surreal television comedy sketch show from Spike Milligan which ran from 1969 to 1982 on BBC2. There were six series in all, the first five numbered from Q5 to Q9, and a final series titled There's a Lot of It About. The first and third series ran for seven episodes, and the others for six episodes, each of which was 30 minutes long.</p><p></p><p>Various reasons have been suggested for the title. One possibility is that it was inspired by the project to construct the Cunard liner QE2, launched in September 1967, which was dubbed Q4. Another theory is that Milligan was inspired by the BBC 6-point technical quality scale of the time, where "Q5" was severe degradation to picture or sound, and "Q6" was complete loss of sound or vision. This was extended by some engineering departments to a 9-point scale, finishing at "Q9". According to Milligan's autobiography, the final series was renamed There's a Lot of It About after the BBC felt the public might find Q10 too confusing.

Good and Bad at Games is a UK television drama that was one of the first programmes broadcast on Channel 4 Television in 1983. The screenplay was written by William Boyd and the lead roles of Cox, Mount and Niles were played by Anton Lesser, Dominic Jephcott and Martyn Stanbridge. A young Rupert Graves also appears briefly as Guthrie. The film was directed by Jack Gold and produced by Victor Glynn.</p><p></p><p>The story, told partly in flashback to 1968, concerns a clique of English public schoolboys who bully and humiliate an unpopular younger pupil who is 'bad at games'. Ten years later Cox uses the dim-witted and weak-willed Niles, who is only included in the clique because he is 'good at games', to find out more about the lead persecutor, in order to exact revenge.

Only six episodes were made.
