4. The Sonics: Live at Easy Street
The Sonics are revered by garage rock fans worldwide, but they have always carried a little more weight in the Pacific Northwest. They are to Washington what Springsteen is to Jersey. So in early 2015 when the band dropped their first new record in 50 years, Easy Street Records in Seattle was their destination to celebrate Record Store Day with friends and fans. Performing to a standing room only crowd on RSD 2015, recorded by KEXP, and mixed and mastered by the great Jack Endino, the band ferociously tore through the night joined by a stream of luminaries paying respects to the kings of the Northwest. “Live at Easy Street" is what that evening sounded like. Now, celebrate Record Store 2016, because THIS IS THE SONICS

9. Lou Reed - Coney Island Baby Live in Jersey
Lou Reed was wise to chronicle a concert by his early-'80s band, featuring lead guitarist Robert Quine and bassist Fernando Saunders. Reed had used them on his trilogy of strong albums -- The Blue Mask, Legendary Hearts, and New Sensations -- released between 1982 and 1984. This 52-minute video, shot at the Capitol Theater in Passaic, NJ, in 1984, is a straightforward, no-frills live show. Reed, in black T-shirt and black leather pants, stands on-stage before a cityscape background and makes his way through a set that features both a selection of Velvet Underground songs, and his sole hit single, "Walk on the Wild Side," plus highlights from his three recent albums, notably such songs as "I Love You Suzanne." As such, the video makes a good Lou Reed career sampler.
It has an average vote of 6.5 on TMDB.
10. Gimme Danger
No other band in rock'n'roll history has rivaled The Stooges' combination of heavy primal throb, spiked psychedelia, blues-a-billy grind, complete with succinct angst-ridden lyrics, and a snarling, preening leopard of a frontman who somehow embodies Nijinsky, Bruce Lee, Harpo Marx, and Arthur Rimbaud all rolled into one. There is no precedent for The Stooges, while those inspired by them are now legion. The film will present the context of their emergence musically, culturally, politically, historically, and relate their adventures and misadventures while charting their inspirations and the reasons behind their initial commercial challenges, as well as their long-lasting legacy.
It has an average vote of 6.8 on TMDB.
11. Juro (Juro)
A documentary about the talented young guitar player and songwriter Juraj Revicky. He was a part of the generation of young people who were not prepared for the bad and the good that came to our country after the Velvet Revolution. In 1998, he was found dead of a heroin overdose in the Stoka theatre. He was 19. In spite of his short life, he left his work, which even today, after a period of time, is still extraordinary. Although he wasn’t famous, and we will never know what he could have achieved, at least, he left deep memories in the people, who knew him. He was a central character of a community of young, open-minded people and his band Pigura was their connecting point. That was Bratislava in the 90s.
